The AMG GTR Eventuri intake is a fully sealed system which was developed through extensive real world testing and airflow simulation analysis. It features our patented Venturi housings which allow for the smoothest possible airflow to the turbo inlets. The housings encase our bespoke filters which help to shape the airflow and maintain laminar conditions. They have also been maximised in internal volume to reduce restrictions and in doing so we have also redesigned the OEM central cover as it fouls on the significantly larger system. Finally, intake air temperatures are kept steady with the ducts which seal to the filter housings. The AMG GTR intake system has been independently tested by World leading Mercedes tuning company – RENNtech and has been proven to give improved performance in both stock and tuned engines. Each system comes complete with the carbon central cover.
The Eventuri Difference
The C190/R190 AMG GTR Eventuri system uses our Patented Carbon Fibre Housings with our Gen 2 bespoke filters, which provide an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the turbos. Not just another cone filter with a heat shield but a unique design which invokes the Venturi affect and maintains laminar flow conditions to reduce the drag on the turbo.
The Eventuri AMG GT intake system consists of a number of components engineered to perform a specific purpose and fabricated to the highest of standards. We use 100% pre-preg carbon fiber with no fibreglass which means we can achieve a smooth internal surface to maintain smoother airflow. Here are the details for each component and the design ethos behind them:Each intake system consists of:

Patented Venturi Filter Housing Assembly
The airbox assemblies consist of the upper and lower sections which are separated by the filter panels. Each section has been meticulously designed for maximum internal volume whilst ensuring a smooth path for airflow to travel to the turbos. The most challenging aspect of this design was to increase the internal volume of the airboxes in an attempt to increase the flow rate capacity over the stock airboxes. Since the GLC63S engine bay is so tightly packed, this was only achievable by maximising the total internal height of the airboxes. The biggest increase came from enlarging the upper airbox lids. As can be clearly seen, we have managed to achieve a significant increase in volume while also providing a smoother airflow path.
The internal volume of the filter housings have been maximised in order to de-restrict the flow path to the turbos. In doing so, the OEM center cover also needed to be modified to prevent it from fouling with the housings. We therefore designed a new cover which allows fitment of the larger filter housings and also provide a finished look to the engine bay. The new cover is made in carbon and features a V shape carbon weave pattern to provide symmetry to the intake as a whole. We have also included a recess in the cover to allow fitment of the engine build plaque from the OEM cover.
Carbon Fiber Intake Ducts
The ducts channel ambient air from the front grill to the filter housings. They connect to the OEM ducting system and smoothly transition to the circular filter housing shape. In order to ensure a good seal against engine bay heat – they also have a flexible rubber edging around the openings which press against the filter housings creating the desired seal yet allowing the housings to move with the engine. The duct volume has been maximised to take full advantage of the space available. The underside of the ducts show the lengths we have gone to ensure perfect fitment while allowing for clearance with objects in the engine bay area.
The components come together and provide an enhancement to the AMG GT engine in performance, sound and aesthetics. Available in both Gloss and Matte Carbon finishes:
Dyno testing was carried out by RENNtech in the USA who tested a GTR in stock form and also with their own ECU tune back to back comparing the OEM airboxes with our intake system. As can be seen below the intake provides a gain in performance throughout the RPM range. The peak power and torque figures are summarised below for each configuration. Mid-range gains are higher in some places than the peak stated figures as can be seen in the graphs. The resulting gains are noticeable on the road with better throttle response and improved acceleration times.
